Social Networking

I wish there were a way for my facebook and myspace pages to redirect here. I can’t be bothered updating them, but I would still like to keep in contact with (certain) people.

  1. While I’ve no real idea (I’m so Web1.0, I’d just put a link ;), i do know there’s an OpenSocial API.. actually it’s a still immature counter by Google & others, incl MySpace, to Facebook’s APplI-cation platform. The latter though has binding for any language you’d care, plus demo apps, tutes etc.):

It may be that that plus

could integrate things via your own server. But (especially as I’m sure you have enuf2do presently) I’d go see if flock diminishes the need,

and maybe mod it or firefox extensions to this purpose. Could pay to do some searching, as i’m positive you aren’t the only one with that ambition:

  4. No kidding. I’d love an external Facebook, where you just plug a little thing into your own site and it ties everything together with everyone else automatically, without you having to be dependent on their nonsense. I haven’t totally got it worked out though of course.

Sorry, Akismet grabbed your first comments as spam.

  6. “Ah” ;{ - I wondered why nothing seemed to come of it.. Sorry to end up kinda ful-fill-ing its classification!!

Well, i reckon this’ll tickle ya enough to make up for it..
Have a go with this FOSS service here:
    http://mugshot.org/badges http://mugshot.org/features

especially as the Redhat name should translate to damn-good security, with prolly no work required.

    Amongst other stuff
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mugshot_%28website%29
says it kicked off 2yrs ago (b4 Fb API etc) and i imagine it’s grown with a bit of community support.

    Shout “Freedom!”! ;)
[as your last word directly in Fb mayb? ;]
